Despite the forecast for snow tomorrow, spring really is in the air!  The trees have started to bud, there is hint of green grass below the brown, the bunnies are no longer white and the air is so fresh!  I love spring and the newness it brings!  I don’t know about you, but I always have the urge to clean and redecorate this time of year!  Time to bring out the colour!

The very talented Natalie Fuglestveit has a whole line up of showhomes this coming year, so there will be lots of inspiration coming your way.  Here’s a recent starter home that she did… don’t you just LOVE the punches of colour!!!  Go check out her website for lots more and stay tuned for more to come!  Also stop by her Facebook page and become a fan!!

For those who follow this blog regularly, you know that Natalie of Natalie Fuglestveit Interior Design has been a busy lady this year! Since November, she has designed six showhomes, a tremendous number considering how much work goes into each home. I have had the privilege of shooting each one for her portfolio and have been so inspired by them all!  So today I post the last home of the season… a gorgeous space decorated in shades of white and grey, with amazing textures and of course her signature details. Although the images don’t show much of the detail, most of the artwork came from a walk I did down in Mount Royal… interesting doors, gates, roof lines, and details of some of the beautiful homes.  The “girls room” shows canvas images of my garden and the “boys room” utilizes some of the airplane parts/images from our visit to the aerospace museum.  Another very fun project this winter!

Anyway, more homes to come in the fall, but in the meantime be inspired by Natalie’s design!  And be sure to check out her website and facebook page to see more of her work!

Nat, amazing as always!! :)

I am so excited to share a couple more INCREDIBLE homes designed by the talented Natalie Fuglestveit of Natalie Fuglestveit Interior Design.  She never ceases to amaze me with her creativity and attention to detail!  The first home has a very urban retro flair… from the sleek furniture to the handmade rug!  Earlier in the year, I did a “photowalk” through downtown Calgary and snapped a bunch of architectural images which then were used for much of the  artwork in the home.  It was definitely a challenge but such a fantastic stretch from the norm!

The biggest custom project was the one seen below in the living room which was a series of large canvases of the Hotel le Germain overlaid with a quote by Matthew Frederick.  By far my favourite of all the artwork!  Between the two houses, we ordered 39 canvases of various sizes and nearly 75 prints to be framed!  You can imagine that it was like Christmas morning when the FedEx guy arrived at my door!

Anyway, I know so many of you adore Natalie’s work and this time of year always love some fresh ideas for your own homes!  Visit her website as well as her facebook page!  You will be inspired!
