Just about a year ago, my husband and I made the decision to sell our first home.  You may remember that post… walking down memory lane as I said goodbye to the home where my babies were born!  It was a bittersweet day, but the process of it all could not have gone any smoother thanks to this amazing realtor.  Meet Jared Chamberlain, his lovely wife Rebecca, their partner in crime Joel Anderson and their incredible assistant Leanne – the foursome making up the Chamberlain Group. These are some pretty awesome realtors who go above and beyond, whose statistics will show you that they are some of the best in our city, who really invest in their clients and are all around pretty fantastic people!  So check them out… they have a very active blog with lots of great contests and excellent real estate information.  And if you’re considering buying or selling a home, then by all means give them a shout!!

One of my very first blog entries was a couple of years ago when I photographed my cousin’s grade nine graduation.  As I sorted through and posted various pictures of these beautiful girls, all I could hum in my head was “Grade 9″ by Barenaked Ladies… “this is me in grade nine, baby, this is me in grade nine…”  and it caused me to reminisce about my junior high years, particularly my graduation banquet.  If I was gutsy enough, I’d post a picture, but I can’t bring myself to do it.  A floor-length, plain peach dress (crepe I believe – a super find at La Cache… anyone remember that place?), curly hair, not a stitch of make-up, and a mono-brow.  Oh and don’t forget the awesome sunburnt face from the track meet the day before!  Oh ya, that was me in grade nine baby!

Fast forward two years from that initial post and we have another cousin graduating and talk about a knock-out!!  I met with her and her best-friend for a quick 25 minute shoot just before they headed to their banquet.  Are they not just stunning?!

Congratulations, M & N!  I hope you guys had a fabulous time celebrating with your friends!  You both looked amazing!

A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to meet up with three very lovely ladies downtown during a busy work day to do some headshots for their department.  We made a valiant effort at working outdoors, but Calgary’s infamous winter weather steered us inside fairly quickly! Really, will this cold ever end??!  Anyway, we found a nice little corner with some wonderful window light and captured these images… beautiful ladies, don’t you think?!  Don’t let these suits fool you, this session was far from formal… we laughed… a lot!
